I need to confess something.

I was supposed to be writing sexy aliens.

You know.

Here’s what happened.

I started writing a story for Amazon’s subscription program years ago and decided that program was not for me. I’m too impatient.

Fast forward, four years, when cleaning out my desk, I found the story. I read the first few pages…and thought OMG…romantasy.

And I got chills.

The kind of chills that say:
Oh. There you are.

The heroine was fierce.
The vampire was dangerous.
The dragon shifter was absolutely not sharing.

And I remembered why I write.

Not for algorithms.
Not for strategy.
Not because someone tells me a certain genre is trending.

I write because certain men show up in my head and refuse to leave.

So yes.
There may be dragons.
There may be vampires.
There may be biting.
There may be claiming.

But don’t worry…

The aliens are still coming.

They just had to wait for their turn.
